Seven Years in Tibet
Produced by The Limited Editions Club in a signed and numbered limited edition of 300 copies. Includes a special introduction for this edition by the Dalai Lama. Illustrated by the author with six photogravures. Signed by Heinrich Harrer on the limitations page. A map of Harrer's Tibetan journeys is laid-in loose, as issued. 9 inches wide x 13 inches tall. The book is bound in coarse natural Bure' white silk imported from India, with a Tibetan symbol blindstamped on the front cover. The book is wrapped in a cotton cloth or 'pi-chu'. And the whole is encased front and back by a pair of magnolia wood "lepshing", which are handcarved with Tibetan symbols and decoration by monks in the Tibetan Refugee Center in India.
